DESCRIPTION:
This unique event showcases the wide range of opportunities available to bilingual professionals, allows participants to meet and get to know professionals of their own ethnic background, and inspires students to set college and career goals. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, admission is free for youth and their parents. The event will be conducted entirely in Spanish.
The event is designed for Spanish-speaking Latino students (5th – 12th graders) and their parents. Bilingual presenters from more than 40 organizations will conduct seminars with small groups of youth and provide exhibits for all attendees. Parents will participate in “Saving for College” and “Financial Aid for College” seminars.
Participants will have the opportunity to win GREAT door prizes, such computers and MP3 players, and much more!
The event is presented by Prospera Initiatives, a nonprofit organization that creates and supports educational opportunities for Latino youth.
